There are many benefits to dance, to name a few: dance develops flexibility, strength, endurance, a sense of well being and confidence.
You do not need to bring a partner. In our classes we constantly rotate, making our classes very socialble for everyone. If you come with a partner you do not have to get in the rotation if you do not want to. Just let the instructor know before the class.
All you need to do is just show up to one of the classes at our 6 locations (see Class and Loctions) and fill out a small registration form. We recommend getting to the class about 5 to 10 minutes before it starts. There are no contracts or registration fees.
If you already know how to dance or know the basics and want to avoid taking the beginners class, you have to be tested out by an instructor. However, we recommend everyone starting at the beginners 1 level. To be evalutated just show up to the class a few minutes early and let the front desk administrator know that you have dance experience and one of the instructors will evalute you.
All private lessons are taught at our E. Orlando location on Colonial Dr. or our Kissimmee locations. We teach private lessons any day of the week by appointment only. If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with the group classes to get the basics down.
To schedule a private just contact the studio or talk to one of the instructors in class. The private lesson rate is $75 for the hour or you can purchase a block of 5 private lessons for $350. Please contact Karen @ email@example.com or call the studio at 407-275-0943
For the first couple of classes the type of shoe doesn’t matter. However, you might want to wear a comfortable shoe with a leather or hard sole because we teach basic turns in the beginners class. Try to avoid sneakers or flip flops, or shoes with a rubber sole.
We do sell professional dance shoes with a suede bottom that are extremely helpful and comfortable and make turning much easier. Shoes range from $49 to over $100, depending on the name brand and style. You can check out some of our styles by clicking here
It depends on how often you come to class and practice. With any activity the more you do something the better you become. The average person (attending class and practicing at least twice a week) should be dancing basic turn patterns within two to four weeks depending on their natural ability. We have 6 levels on our syllabus. We have Beginners 1 & 2, Intermediate 1 & 2, and Advanced 1 & 2. The average person attending class 2 to 3 times a week can get through our whole syllabus within a year, (again depending on your natural ability).
